Day 1Arrival ISTANBUL (D)

0200 hrs: Assemble at departure area outside Coimbatore airport. Proceed for check-in and Immigration formalities. Depart by Air Arabia to Turkey via Sharjah. Arrival at Istanbul’s Atarurk airport. Complete customs and immigration formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the hotel in an a/c coach. Indian lunch, then the rest of the day is yours to explore Istanbul. Indian dinner at a restaurant. Overnight at Istanbul hotel.

Day 2ISTANBUL CITY TOUR (B, L & D)

Have an early breakfast and assemble in the hotel lobby for a DAY TOUR OF ISTANBUL CITY covering TOPKAPI PALACE, the great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the HOLY MANTLE enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL MOSQUE located across from St. Sophia and built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is also known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. HIPPODROME, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments – the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. We take a break for lunch after which proceed to the SPICE BAZAAR (Egyptian Bazaar), where the air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice. The rest of the evening is yours to explore Istanbul. Overnight in the Istanbul hotel.

Day 3 GALLIPOLI TOUR (B, L & D)

Depart by coach after breakfast for Gallipoli to visit the battlefields there. Visit KABATEPE MUSEUM, (The museum hosts numerous relics from the campaign, including weapons, ammunition, uniforms, photographs, letters written by the soldiers to their families, and private belongings such as shaving tools, cocoa cases, leather flasks etc. There are also more shocking artifacts such as the skull of a Turkish soldier killed by a bullet to the forehead, and a soldier’s shoe still containing a bone from the owner’s foot). Start visiting the fields with ARIBURNU CEMETERY and ANZAC COVE where the war had first started. Then visit BEACH CEMETERY which is a small Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery containing the remains of allied troops who died during the Battle of Gallipoli, SHRAPNEL VALLEY cemetery (from World War I and is the second largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery in the former Anzac sector of the Gallipoli Peninsula) and PLUGGE’S PLATEAU (the smallest Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery on the Gallipoli Peninsula). After dinner return to Canakkale for overnight stay.

Day 4TROY TOUR – PERGAMON – KUSADASI (B, L & D)

Check out of the hotel after breakfast for an exciting 30 minute drive to TROY. Visit the famous archeological and mythological site of Troy, home of the Trojan Horse and Helen of Troy. Then proceed on another breath-taking 3 hour drive to PERGAMON, or Pergamum, which was a rich and powerful ancient Greek city in Aeolis located 26 kms from the modern coastline of the Aegean Sea. Then break for lunch, after which we depart on a tour of the magnificent acropolis of Pergamon with its impressive temples and library which made it a renowned cultural and political centre of those times. We also drop in for a visit to a jewellery center for 30 minutes on the way. Arrival to KUSADASI, check-in to the hotel, and overnight in Kusadasi after dinner.

Day 5 KUSADASI – EPHESUS Tour - Turkish Village SIRINCE (B, L & D)

KUSADASI is a beach resort town on Turkey’s western Aegean coast. Depart after breakfast on a guided tour of EPHESUS, one of the best preserved ancient sites in the world and en-route, visit the TEMPLE OF ARTEMIS, CURETES STREET, the famous ROMAN BATHS, CELSUS LIBRARY, GRAND THEATRE and THE HOUSE OF THE VIRGIN MARY. Take a break for lunch. After lunch, visit to a centre practices one of the oldest arts of Turkey; a CARPET WEAVING CENTRE. Post lunch, visit SIRINCE, a village which also has a fantastic reputation for making some of the best wines in Turkey – especially fruit wines. A visit to the vineyards to see how to make fruit wine with Turkish wine makers. On the way visit a famous leather production center, where you will have the opportunity to buy items at factory cost. Again after dinner, overnight stay in the Kusadasi hotel.

Day 6 KUSADASI – IZMIR – ISTANBUL (B)

Breakfast, then check out of the Kusadasi hotel, proceed to Izmir airport for the domestic flight to Istanbul. Check in your baggage, complete customs & immigration and board the flight back to India.
